Gregory M. Gallousis

Gregory M. Gallousis, MD, FACS

Glaucoma & Cataract Surgeon

Dr. Gallousis is board certified in ophthalmology.  He graduated with honors from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Science degree in Optical Engineering and with a concentration in Biomedical Engineering.  As an undergraduate, Dr. Gallousis won an engineering fellowship with the Department of Defense & Texas Instruments. He earned his medical degree with distinction in research from SUNY Brooklyn - Down State Medical Center.

Dr. Gallousis completed his Ophthalmology residency at SUNY Brooklyn - Down State Medical Center and completed his Glaucoma Fellowship at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Cornell University Medical Center.  As a clinical assistant professor, at New York Eye & Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, he teaches modern glaucoma and cataract surgical techniques to young physicians in training.

Dr. Gallousis is the owner and president of Stamford Eye Associates and is currently affiliated with Stamford Hospital, New York Eye & Ear Infirmary of Mt Sinai, and is a partner at the Wilton Ambulatory Surgical Center.

Dr. Gallousis is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, Connecticut Society of Eye Physicians (CSEP), the CT Glaucoma Society, the NY Glaucoma Society, Fairfield County Medical Association, and the Connecticut State Medical Society.
